British royal family news shows that Prince Charles and his wife and future queen consort, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, began celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early today in London. The future monarch and his wife went to the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith to celebrate its 25th anniversary and next week will head to Ireland.
While at the center the couple took some quickie bodhrán lessons and chatted with several Irish artists. But at one point musician Tad Sargent showed Charles how to balance the drum on his knees and hold the stick and flick it against the instrument. The couple both had a go at it, and an enthusiastic Charles and waved his stick in triumph as the crowd cheered him on.

At first the royal pair joined in with a group of musicians playing fiddles, banjos, flutes, a concertina, the uilleann pipes and acoustic guitar. The happily married couple also sat and enjoyed the music while tapping their toes.
After thanking the musicians for their performance, both Charles and Camilla went behind the bar and sampled Ireland’s infamous ‘black stuff’. Camilla joked, “I know what my next job is going to be!”
