Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Could Be Cleared In Delia’s Death – Time For Billy And Chloe To Move On

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) unauthorized restraint by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), which is also known as being kidnapped, doesn’t mean that she’ll be defeated. Like Adam, Chloe has at least nine lives. As she endures her current one, Hendrickson’s dynamic character can be positioned to actually neutralize Adam and vice versa.
Okay, so Adam can expose the fact that Chloe is alive and send her to prison for the crimes she committed against him. The deadly count stood at one, with that being the September 2016 cabin blast, but then moved to two when she shot him at the tack house a handful of weeks ago.
However, Adam only thinks of Chloe as a continued threat to his life because he believes she feels justified. His accidental run-down of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) in October 2013, when Adam looked like Michael Muhney, was followed by Justin Hartley’s turn as this character at that setting that went boom in the woods three years ago.

It would be great, for all involved and to push this nearly six-year arc along, if Adam can be cleared in Delia’s death. That doesn’t imply some philosophical forgiveness, but instead new evidence surfacing that proves another driver was guilty of hitting Chloe and Billy Abbott’s (as now played by Jason Thompson) daughter.
All known evidence that exists, which includes the remnants of Delia’s clothing being found (by Adam) under the wheel well of that infamous black sport utility vehicle, never has and doesn’t represent proof of a crime. That material could have been picked up by Adam’s vehicle as he drove past the accident scene that had already happened.
As all savvy soap fans know, historical plot lines can be adjusted at any time because escapist entertainment isn’t based on hard and fast truths. In keeping with that theme, here’s hoping that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and his team uncover something that busts the long-held beliefs about Adam.

Having Chloe realize this type of arc-changing truth would also allow Hendrickson’s’ character to move past the scratch in this plot record. Repeating revenge scenarios with Adam was understandable, but now can be advanced.
Y&R’s presentation of Adam would radically shift if he’s no longer the condemned man. Chloe could release her unlimited rage and be freed to focus on Bella Mitchell (Cali May Kinder), the child she and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) share.
Who knows, maybe Adam will even be involved in proving who Delia’s killer actually is, or was? There’s always that chance, wink.

its been going on too long now its time to end it!
happened on 2013 now its 2019 this is old and I don’t know why both Chloe & Billy
want revenge when it won’t go anywhere.
That statement is ridiculous, it doesn’t matter how long its been even though this is a soap opera. But if this was your daughter and she died the way Delia did alone on a road run over by a car and even though it was an accident when Adam found out he covered it up for the longest time. Now if that was your child could you forgive or forget. Everyone is acting like Adam is so innocent he may be an amazing but he’s still a bad guy.
how about Billy? he let his daughter wander off and didn’t protect her so what

revenge, if they do that I guess they want to go to jail, good luck with that.
If you remember, try had looked to see how many other vehicles like Adam’s were around there that night. There were a number of them, including Nicky’s. Then it was dropped
I think it had something to do with his father, wanted him to take the blame for his
wife Nikki she was drinking while driving and doesn’t remember anything what
happened or he won’t tell her so Adam went to jail for nothing but Victor helped
break him out of jail.
Tired of this story line….Delia is d3ad, Chloe is alive, Adam is alive! Adam deserves to serve time…don’t like this new Adam.
I think this Adam looks more like Victor and acts so much like the young Victor. I was like you when they brought this actor in to play the part of Adam. The more I watched he looks, acts like Victor.

Yes, Niki was on the road that night and she had been drinking.ni thought Adam would get the blame but it would turn out to be Niki. But I guess they nixed that bc they were going to fire Michael Muhney classy not.

stayed in Kansas and his late mom shouldn’t have named him Adam Victor Jr.

I miss Michael Muhney played as Adam too, the same as Justin Hartley, those two
played the best actors of ‘Adam’
That is crazy If anyone was watch that day there was not another car in site so it was Adam There is no way that Adam should be cleared If that was the case then why did he make a video to a confession on what he did! So no I do not want to see him cleared!

Can’t stand the new Adam. Doesn’t suit the role at all. It’s going to wind up being chance that killed Delia. I have been watching y&r for over 30 years and I cannot watch it for 6 months and pick up right where I left off they need to come up with better material to keep their viewers
yeah I know that ever since the writers got this Adam back its been nothing but

Yes, I have never really thought that Adam was involved in Delia death, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jack at the time was involved with crazy Kelly Andrews at the time. Both Jack and Billy slept with her. Kelly was unstable and had drug problems. I have always thought that she was the one who hit Delia.
I did watch it in 2013, and perhaps you missed the previous show 1 day prior, but both Nikki & the blonde woman dating Jack both had the same luxury black SUV that Adam drove, and they drove the exact same road around that time. Paul had the list of the SUV owners. Nikk was drinking. Adam did stop when he thought he hit something (the dog). I believe Nikki hit her right before Adam was there.
It was ridiculous that Adam would have been charged at all. Billy left his daughter alone in a car, at night, knowing she kept running after a dog. Adam was driving at night and, if it was him, a small child in black ran in front of his car in the middle of the street, sad but not his fault. It wasn’t him. It wasn’t going to be him. The writers messed everything up. This has gone on too long.
My question is this; If they clear him how do they explain the things he had of Deliah’s that he was hiding in his condo.
First off, your reply to ‘redcoathanger’ was a little rude and not called for. If you walk around with anger and revenge all the time you are only hurting yourself. Yes you will always miss that child but to be so angry like Billy and Chloe are after all this time is not a good thing to carry with you every day.

Adam did serve some time and then he was pardoned. There is more than enough blame for this accident. I for one hate the story but I do believe I could forgive because hate can only destroy you.
In all honesty it truly was an accident. Billy should of been watching her. It was very dark and almost impossible to see the little girl. If that was any other citizen with a clear record it would of been ruled an accident Adam fixed the car after the fact because of his reputation and knew what happened and it turns out he was right. I hated when when the story aired because I don’t like soaps killing children. They need to put this story away and bring it closure . Keep in mind that Billy can blame Adam all he wants but in the end it was his fault what was he thinking that night .? Chole actions are understandable she is a mother greiving and cannot handle it. Adam should be cleared .
Yes you’re right It was heading that way and they made Adam the driver. I wonder if it was a last minute rewrite because they wanted him of the show because of the harassment charges? And found away to wrote him out ? And Nikki is not perfect she killed Kyle mom and got away with it.
You make a point but Billy is not blameless l its not like Adam knew he hit her and fled the seen. He never saw her and put two and two together later and felt general remorse. He was not drinking and it truly was an accident. If it was Nikki oh watch it it was an accident
If it was my daughter who was run over and left on the side of the road I would never forget. But who is really to blame? Billy is the one who left a little girl ALONE in the back seat of a car at night while her father went in to get ice cream. In my book, that makes Billy worse than Adam.
If Adam was not guilt why did he make a video tell Chelsea and Conner that he was guilt!

It was Billy’s fault he left her in the car with that dog unsupervised . Also I believe it was Nikki that ran over Delia.

@Soaps inspector – I don’t think that the harassment stuff happened at the time of the storyline being written. But I guess it could be a way to write out the character played by Michael Muhney at the time. (disagreements with Eric Braeden mainly).
Yes, a chip off the old block ! Will anything ever change Adam’s attitude toward his family ? Chelsea has a new life now and he has to except that , besides her husband adopted Conner doesn’t that stand for something ? He just can’t take him away. But who really is this Calvin ??
