Along with terrifically written storyline and numerous other colleagues strong performances, Atkinson’s efforts are evoking classic movie villains from days gone by and offer a wink to elements within the film Mulholland Drive (2001) and, of course, to its title.
Anthony Perkins (Norman Bates), who starred in the ‘Psycho’ movies (1960, 1983, 1986), and Christian Bale (Patrick Bateman), who starred in ‘American Psycho’ (2000), represent just two notably infamous villains. Overlay B&B’s chilling music whenever Thomas appears on screen and the audience lives inside a hybrid horror-thriller.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Will Mental Illness Help Redeem Thomas?
It’s understood that Thomas’ current mental state and his past instances of moral slippage can be used to explain away, but not excuse, all that’s been developing within his angle of the baby swap story. But fans aren’t to that point yet, with more episodes to go until the destined reveal and fallout for all involved.
Thomas’ twisted alter ego believes that keeping Beth Spencer’s (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) life as Phoebe Forrester concealed, threatening three of the other secret-keepers, and forcing Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) off that famous winding road is ends justifying the means territory. The 2001 David Lynch film, along with odes to the Alfred Hitchcock movie, Hitchcock inspired sequels, and Mary Harron’s flick are also felt.

I think it would make an interesting story to see how far Thomas can go with his crazy stalking weird self. I think he did kill Caroline and made it look like she took her own life. Then to the Authorities where they were living, he made them think by keeping the true reason for her death from the family would be the best thing. It could be reminded to us about the crazy things he has done in the past like setting his car on fire and many other. I think there is going to be a kidnapping of Hope and many more threats and murders before he is caught. I am anxious to see just what Brad Bell can do with the character.
I wish Brad Bell would take Thomas off the show. its like watching a horror movie when he’s on. His has such devilish eyes. don’t like him at all.
