And after she married Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex became even more respected by other stars. However, Meghan recently made a major mistake that changed everything, according to GB News.

And royal family expert Celia Walden revealed exactly why and how Markle now ranks as a “figure of fun” in Hollywood. But first, Celia admitted that she assumed Hollywood would protect Meghan. However, Walden discovered that the opposite has become true. “I thought maybe people would be protective of her out here,” admitted the novelist. “But not at all.”

“She’s just a figure of fun,” declared Celia. “And the crucial misstep she made is forgetting that the whole of the United States love the Queen. So, anyone who is deemed to have affronted the Queen, or behaved badly in that regard, is just not going to go down well.”

Meghan Markle – Longs For Respect In Hollywood

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wants Hollywood to respect her. But Celia Walden believes that Meghan Markle actually made several errors that caused disrespect instead. For instance, the author recalled how Rebel Wilson mocked Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey at the BAFTA awards.

“How fascinating it was that Rebel made that joke. These are their people, so normally one would expect a sharp intake of breath, maybe even booing,” pointed out Walden. “But there was unanimous laughter because they are now officially figures of fun.”

And in addition to throwing shade at the Queen in her Oprah interview, Meghan has repeatedly complained about the royal family in general. As a result, Celia feels that Hollywood has turned her into an outcast.  But Markle does have company in her misery, according to the author.

Prince Harry also hoped for the entertainment world’s respect. “This is the last thing they wanted,” summed up Walden of Hollywood’s disdain for the Duke of Sussex and Duchess of Sussex. And the author offered an unusual suggestion for Meghan Markle. “She should be trademarking a few words, ‘arrogant,’ ‘entitled’ and ‘preposterous’ because all of those things are uniquely her!”
