Kate Middleton News: Here’s Why Princess Diana Would Have Been Jealous Of The Duchess

A royal expert claims that if Princess Diana were still alive today, she would have been quite jealous of her daughter-in-law and even a little bit concerned for Kate Middleton, too. And while there’s no doubt that Diana would have been a good mother-in-law, she would have also been quite protective of her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Here’s why.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s former press secretary Dickie Arbiter recently told Express.co.uk that if Diana were still alive today, she would have had an interesting relationship with the women in her son’s lives: Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

And while there’s no doubt that Diana would have kept her distance and did everything to make sure that her sons were happy in their marriage, she would also have plenty causes for concern, too. After all, there isn’t a mother on this planet that isn’t jealous of her son and his new wife, right?

Dickie explained it this way, “Kate would have found Diana very helpful and a good mother-in-law. Yes, with ever mother there’s a bit of jealousy when their son finds another woman and no mother can put her hand on her heart and say they’re not concerned. To every mother, no woman is good enough for her son.”

Helping Kate With Advice

Despite this, Dickie Arbiter says that Diana and Kate would have gotten on well nevertheless, as both women actually have a lot of things in common. Dickie says that Diana would have steered Kate and advised her, but would have not been too overbearing.

He added, “Diana would have been a great mother-in-law. I think Kate and Diana would have got on very well. Kate would have found a great soulmate in Diana. William has been doing all the guiding – they were lucky because they had a relationship for eight years before they married, but Diana would have steered Kate and advised her about whatever she wanted to know.”

Dickie also adds that Diana would have gotten on well with Meghan Markle, adding that she would have helped the Duchess and put her at ease with all of the personal attacks she’s been getting from her critics.
