The Hallmark Channel typically features TV movies overflowing with romance. But then one of the streaming service’s stars enhanced Hallmark’s fame with a link to a Barbie live-action movie. And fans of Hallmark star Trevor Donovan went wild over the possibility that the Days Of Our Lives alum might portray Ken.
But alas, Trevor lost the chance to play the loyal male mate to the perky female doll. However, Donovan didn’t forget his disappointed fans. Find out how the Hallmark star responded to his followers. And learn about Trevor’s idea for a new show on a different channel below!
Hallmark Channel – Star Trevor Donovan Wanted To Play Ken In Barbie Movie!
Since his beginning on Days Of Our Lives, Trevor Donovan has moved from daytime soaps to nighttime romance. But in the process, the actor acquired a new goal. And he set his eyes on the prize of starring as Ken in a movie about Barbie, noted Heavy.
As a result, the Hallmark star’s fans united in supporting Trevor to take on the role in the film. But then Donovan’s followers learned Ryan Gosling won the role of Ken in the live-action Barbie film. However, Trevor’s fans continued to share their disappointment.
But the Hallmark star remained gracious in discussing his feelings about losing the role. And he also discussed an idea for his future in Barbie land. However, fans might also want to check out what Trevor tweeted about a new series concept (hint: listen up, Bravo TV execs!).
After receiving the offer to play Ken in “Barbie,” Ryan Gosling walked into the backyard and found “[A Ken doll] face down in the mud next to a squished lemon. I texted [the photo] to Greta and said, ‘I shall be your Ken, for this story must be told.'”https://t.co/c1JLuF2Muf pic.twitter.com/yqyIc7cPJd

Hallmark Channel – Trevor Donovan To Star In THIS Role In Barbie Sequel!?
As a result of losing to Ryan Gosling, Donovan looked to the future. And he shared his Barbie dreams. But Trevor also joked about getting dubbed a Ken lookalike.
“If I had a nickel for every time someone called me KEN, I’m flattered,” joked Donovan. And he praised his rival, predicting Ryan Gosling will “crush” playing Ken. But he also suggested a way to co-star with Gosling. “Who knows, if this Barbie movie is successful, maybe they’ll have a sequel, one where KEN has a brother who comes for a visit,” hinted Trevor.
They should make a Real Housewives of the RV park. I'd totally watch that. Crop tops, jean shorts, cans of budweiser and lawn chairs by the above ground pool is more interesting than plastic faces screaming at each other.

However, Donovan also turned to Twitter to hint at another series idea. And we think Andy Cohen might want to listen up. Because Trevor suggested a twist on the traditional Real Housewives shows.

Crop tops, jean shorts, cans of Budweiser and lawn chairs by the above ground pool is more interesting than plastic faces screaming at each other,” tweeted Donovan. And of course the series could add Trevor in a Friend Of the Real Housewives role, adding the, ahem, Ken factor to the Barbie plastic stars!

Trevor, your KEN to Barbie any other man playing it is pale in comparison to you. Ryan G is a joke to play this role and have his hair bleached. You had it all already. You woke up looking that Ken Look… Sorry you didn’t get it.
Trevor would have made a better Ken
