Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Spoilers: Has Abby Made Her Choice?

Hallmark made a much-needed announcement in March that Chesapeake Shores had been renewed for season 6. However, it wasn’t all happiness and light, as the network also announced that fans will only see the O’Briens in that season, as it will be the last. Chessies were obviously upset with the news, after becoming so close to the fictional O’Brien family. However, at least we do have one more season to look forward to.

Chesapeake Shores season 6: Does Abby choose Evan over Jay?

While fans will miss seeing the O’Briens after the season’s finale of Chesapeake Shores, season 6 is set to drop on Sunday, August 14. At least we have something to look forward to, but what can we expect from the sixth and final season?

Meanwhile, a teaser trailer has been released for season 6 of Chesapeake Shores that gives us a preview of what lies ahead. In the video, we see Evan (Robert Buckley) arriving in a fancy yacht for his and Abby’s (Meghan Ory) date. However, glancing at that boat, Abby says she doesn’t think she is dressed for this date. However, while gazing at her pink hoodie, Evan tells her, “You have never looked lovelier.”

Moreover, as the date progresses, we see both Evan and Abby dressed to the nines and dancing in each other’s arms. Does this mean Abby has chosen Evan over Jay (Greyston Holt)? This is one major question we have going into season 6. However, there are a number of other questions that require some answering as we go into the final season.

Should we worry about Mick?

As noted by TV Insider, fans will recall that Mick (Treat Williams) crashed his plane while making a “necessary urgent landing.” While he had minor injuries, they did include a broken arm, which was obviously giving him pain. In the season 5 finale, we saw Mick taking painkillers while on his own, which often points to a problem on TV.

Speaking of Mick, does he have a future with Megan? In the last season, things were looking up for Mick and Megan (Barbara Niven). This even included a planned trip around the world. However, her ex, Carter (Barclay Hope) came visiting with a job offer in Los Angeles. While she may have planned to turn the offer down, Mick pushed her into accepting it.

Megan suggested an alternative, that she works for a year, then take off six months for traveling. However, Mick was jealous, saying, “Trust you not to leave me again? I don’t know if I can.” This will definitely leave Megan and Mick in a difficult place heading into season 6.

Now, we just have to wait until Sunday, August 14 to hopefully find answers to all the questions we have after the season 5 finale.
