Kate Moss Reveals Why She Testified In Johnny Depp’s Trial

During the defamation trial in which Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation, while the trial was ongoing, Heard’s younger sister Whitney Heard was called up to the witness stand to testify if truly, Depp has been beating her sister Amber Heard, Whitney testified to having witnessed Depp beat Heard.

While the testimony was going on, Whitney also claimed she was also a victim of Depp’s violence and that it happened the day Depp returned drunk and had an argument with Heard over her suspicion of Depp cheating. Depp angrily hauled a red bull can towards Heard but it struck the nurse in their apartment, then Depp hurriedly climbed the stairs and struck Whitney on her back, the action promoted Heard to rush and Strike a blow on Depp’s face while screaming “don’t fucking touch my sister.”

When Heard was called up to testify, she admitted to striking Depp in defense, she said when Depp stood there on the stairs with her sister, all she could think of was Kate Moss who Depp previously dated and how Kate was pushed down a flight of stairs by Depp, and she had to do something so she struck Depp full on his face. Heard said to the court that it was her first time to ever strike someone she’s romantically involved with. In her exact words she said, “I just instantly think of Kate Moss and the stairs, and I swung at him,” Heard testified. “In all my relationships to date, I hadn’t [delivered] a blow. For the first time, I hit him square in the face.

After Kate Moss’ name was mentioned in the trial by Heard, Kate testified via a video deposition that Depp never laid a finger on her all through their relationship not to talk of pushing her down the stairs.

Kate Moss narrated the incident that took place in Jamaica. She explained that she and Depp were going out and Depp left before her, it rained that day and as she was leaving the room, she slipped and slid down the stairs injuring her back. Her scream of pain had Depp rushing up to her and even helped carry her upstairs to get her examined. Kate said that Depp “never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.”

It’s no secret that the British supermodel leads a very private life away from not just the camera but she rarely grants interviews, so, it came as a surprise when she explained in an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs her reasons for standing up for Depp in his defamation trial.

Kate explained that the reason she defended Depp was also the same reason she defended another of her friend John Galliano an ex-Dior designer who was found guilty of anti-Semitic abuse back in 2011. Kate said, “I know the truth about Johnny [Depp]. I know he never kicked me down the stairs. I had to say that truth.”

Kate and Depp’s relationship lasted for five years, from 1994-1998, Kate one time admitted that after her breakup with Depp she cried “for years” because Depp truly cared about her. Depp on the other hand took the fall for the reason the relationship ended, he said his work came in the way.
