Kristen Bell And Ashley Graham Talk Fitness, Anxiety, And Post Baby Bodies!

Kristen Bell And Ashley Graham Talk Fitness, Anxiety, And Post Baby Bodies!Kristen Bell and Ashley Graham know how to keep conversations real. And they proved it when the two celebrities got together recently. From exercise to anxiety, the Bad Moms actress and the plus-size model opened up and got honest. And in the process, Kristen and Ashley offered inspiration to other women.

Find out what they said. And learn why one of them compared exercise to lotion (yes, really!). We’ve got all the details below.

Ashley Graham And Kristen Bell – Use Fitness For Mental Health

Exercisers typically fall into one of two categories: Those who love to work out and those who push themselves for their health. And for Kristen Bell, keeping her battle with anxiety in check serves as fitness motivation. But the actress admitted that the quarantine made it challenging, per Yahoo.

However, Bell found a way to stay physically and mentally health by going online. “I have such anxiety and depression ebbing and flowing that one way I balance it is by working out,” noted Kristen. And she has turned to live-stream workouts led by Charlie Curtis, a Los Angeles fitness trainer.

But Ashley Graham didn’t just agree. The plus-size model revealed that she enlisted a very special workout partner: Her mom! However, Graham did concur with Bell about the mental health benefits of exercise. “Working out has been so important for my mental health and sanity,” shared Ashley.

And the model noted that she also turns to virtual workout sessions. Led by her trainer Kira Stokes, the intense exercise offers a benefit by showing others virtually working out as well. “Half the time I can barely keep up and I wimp out halfway through,” admitted Graham. “But I like doing it with thousands of other people. Maybe they’re just sitting there watching and commenting, or maybe they’re actually working out. Either way, it makes me feel like I’m not alone. It keeps me accountable knowing other people are expecting it and looking forward to it because it’s keeping them sane, too.”

Kristen Bell And Ashley Graham – Push Progress, Not Perfection

However, Bell and Graham also agree that seeking perfection can backfire. As a result, the celebrity moms seek individual progress rather than pushing to perfect their post-baby bodies. Kristen co-parents two children with Dax Shepard. And Ashley recently welcomed twins, making her the mom of three with hubby Justin Ervin.

But Kristen faced a special challenging getting in the exercise grove. And the actress, famed for her unusual love of sloths, admitted she grew up without fitness in her life. But when Bell found it benefited her mental health, she learned to appreciate working out.

And Graham feels that her parents “bred us to be athletic.” For instance, Ashley and her siblings “played basketball, soccer, volleyball, and a little bit of softball. We’ve just always moved our bodies and gotten sweaty and been active.” However, then Graham headed to New York City.

Ashley Graham – Compares Working Out To Lotion: Here’s Why@

As Graham started modeling at age 17, she soon faced criticism. As a result, Ashley temporarily lost the motivation to work out. But then Graham recognized the emotional and physical benefits. And she now compares fitness to lotion.

Something I like to say now is, ‘Motion is lotion.’ If I’m not moving my body, it’s going to get tight and achy,” she explained. “And when I am moving my body, it feels loose and I feel fearless, like I can do anything.” And Bell agrees.

But Kristen and Ashley want their fans to understand the benefits of relaxing when they need to. For instance, Graham recently cancelled on her trainer. “Because I just didn’t want to get out of bed,” summed up the model as the reason. However, Bell reminded her friend, “No one’s striving for perfection here.”
