Pete Davidson spied red flags in his future if he stayed with Kim Kardashian, claim insiders. And forget those rumors that Kim caused the split. Because one source told Heat magazine that Pete made the ultimate call to break up.

However, the source also shared that Davidson, 28, did initially enjoy sharing Kardashian’s spotlight. But it finally resulted in way too much pressure. And the source also blamed Kim getting obsessed for Pete dashing out the romance exit door.

However, the insider actually listed several obsessions. First, the source claimed that Kim got obsessed with a very strict exercise and diet routine. And after she lost 21 pounds, she wanted Davidson to support her workouts and weight loss obsession. But Pete backed off, claims the source.

Pete Davidson – Does Not Want To Get Dubbed Mr. Kim Kardashian!

And Kim didn’t see the warning signs that Pete wanted her to let up on the stress, according to the insider. “Pete went into this relationship with the best of intentions,” insisted the source. “He feels bad that Kim’s upset by his decision to end things. But he also feels like he was left with no choice.”

And Davidson felt in danger of losing his career in Kim’s spotlight, added the insider. For instance, some headlines referred to Pete as Mr. Kim Kardashian. Ouch! However, when Davidson moved to Australia temporarily to film a movie, the distance helped. And he realized that he needed to focus on his career rather than Kim.

Because Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner kept trying to control Pete, the SNL comedian gave up. For instance, Kim and Kris allegedly demanded Davidson wear only Kardashian brands. And they even wanted Pete to join Kim on her diet and fitness program.

However, when Kris even chose a ring and suggested an engagement/proposal scene, Davidson fled! And Jenner allegedly wanted Pete to follow Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s PDA proposal. However, the SNL comedian dubbed that idea too tacky to consider. But Kim and Kris then thought he just wanted to delay. And ultimately, Pete decided he saw one solution: Run!
