Kate Middleton has become so popular that Queen Consort Camilla feels worried, insiders told Radar. As a result, Camilla feels unhappy about what could happen on coronation day. Scheduled for May 6, the event will see her husband King Charles III honored at London’s Westminster Abbey.

Charles, 73, has prepared for years for the honor. And his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, reportedly has felt eager to receive her own crown. “The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future,” Buckingham Palace stated. And the event also represents “longstanding traditions and pageantry.”

But one royal insider revealed that Charles’ more popular son and heir, Prince William, and Will’s wife Princess Kate, want to shape the coronation themselves. And Camilla feels upset about the possibility that they will steal her spotlight, claimed the source. However, William and Kate reportedly feel determined to make the coronation more modern.

Princess Kate And Prince William – Want To Change Coronation

William, Prince of Wales, and his wife, Princess Kate, hope to persuade King Charles “to update and modernize the coronation to make it more contemporary,” added the source. “While it’s a sacred day, they want to make it more exciting and less somber.” The last such event featured Charles’ late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1953 at the beginning of her 70 years on the throne.

And the insider revealed that William and Kate enjoy their highest levels of popularity. As a result, the public would rather see the couple than Camilla in the spotlight. And their children, Prince George, age 9; Princess Charlotte, age 7, and 4-year-old Prince Louis also appeal to the public.

“The public is far more interested in seeing William and Kate and the children,” summed up the source. And Camilla “feels slighted that more attention is paid to Kate.” As a result, Camilla reportedly “fears Kate will steal her thunder.”

But Kate and Camilla already clashed over Queen Elizabeth’s inheritance. The late Queen allegedly left her valuable jewelry collection, worth an estimated $110 million, to Kate and not Camilla. “Kate is clearly the family favorite,” pointed out an insider. And sources also claimed that Camilla always secretly envied Kate’s bond with Queen Elizabeth. “She’d never say it, of course,” shared one palace insider. “But it’s one of the reasons Camilla resented Kate.”
