General Hospital spoilers tease that no one believed that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was using his time in prison to turn over a new leaf. Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) only discovered that Cyrus was actually her half-brother.

She certainly didn’t take the news well, since Cyrus was also the newest mobster to challenge Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) for the Port Charles territory. Even worse, Cyrus had no problem selling drugs or killing children in order to get what he wants.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Was Finally Arrested After Taking Laura Collins Hostage!

Cyrus knew he was about to be captured as the evidence against him accumulated. So, he took Dr. Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) and her daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) hostage in their own home. Laura arrived on the scene as soon as she discovered Cyrus Renault had taken prisoners.

She then offered herself as a hostage as long as he let Portia and Trina go free. Cyrus agreed, but he warned her that either they would both go free or they would both die!

Cyrus desperately wanted Laura to love and accept him as her brother, but he wouldn’t give up his criminal lifestyle. Laura wouldn’t want any part of Cyrus as he continued his war against Sonny and was using General Hospital to distribute his product. But now the evidence was piling up and Laura finally got through to Cyrus.

Cyrus was sent out of town to a high-security prison while he awaited trial. He was found guilty and remained in the faraway prison for several months but eventually, he was transferred back to Pentonville.

Laura visited Cyrus after he was transferred and she couldn’t believe what he was telling her. Not only did he claim to have found religion but he also said he was turning his back on his former life. But he still seemingly had a position of power within the prison’s walls. He has also been protecting Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) from harm during the young man’s 90-day sentence in prison. Cyrus has also warned Laura that he wouldn’t be able to protect Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in the same manner. Then he admitted Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) had made it clear that Anna wouldn’t survive once Alex got hold of her.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Will Find Himself Torn Between His Sister And Olivia Qateraine!

Even though Cyrus wants nothing more than to protect Spencer and make Laura proud, things will become more complicated. Cyrus will find himself the object of Olivia’s affection. Cyrus will shock even himself when he finds himself attracted to Olivia. At some point he won’t be able to play both sides but will he give in to temptation or will he be able to redeem himself?
