General Hospital Spoilers: Austin’s Alliance With Britt Worries Maxie

General Hospital spoilers tease, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) have been moving forward with their relationship pretty steadily for some time now. Maxie feels safe with Austin, but they’re not always on the same page. How could they be when Austin is keeping so many secrets?

He’s never really divulged what his life was like in Pautauk or why he left there to come work in Port Charles, and Maxie stopped pushing for an answer to those questions long ago. Austin also hasn’t clarified why his cousin Mason (Nathanyael Grey) keeps coming around asking for favors, or what those favors are. Now, Austin has a new secret on his mind, and this one actually impacts Maxie, but he still won’t tell her.

General Hospital Spoilers — Austin Holt And Britt Westborne Trade Secrets

Austin recently overheard Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) giving the hospital vending machine a few choice words. What started as casual conversation and him helping her out quickly dwindled into Britt’s confession that he was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. At the moment, Austin wasn’t thinking about how this would make Maxie feel or whether she would be comfortable with him keeping this secret about her sister-in-law from her.

Still, Austin is a doctor and Britt’s coworker. She didn’t have to come clean with him, and she definitely did so in the heat of a very emotional moment when Austin wasn’t going to relent on recommending she have her symptoms checked out. Now that Austin knows though, it’s going to give Britt a sounding board she didn’t have before. That can only spell trouble.

GH Spoilers – Indicate Britt Westborne Is Emboldened To Defend Austin Holt

As Britt continues to share her feelings with Austin about her impending health crisis, she will make it clear she’s not ready for anyone else to know. Although her mom, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) does now she was diagnosed, she doesn’t want to burden her just yet by telling her it’s worsening. Austin will offer his ear and shoulder as Britt comes to terms with her fate, and fans might see some mirroring of what we saw with T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) before. Are they just coworkers, or is something more going on?

Things will take a turn for the worse when Austin’s family secrets start to surface. As Maxie begins to question who she’s been coupled up with and whether Austin has been honest with her, Britt will feel compelled to defend her new-found friend who’s been so supportive of her. This will leave Maxie questioning how well she knows either of them anymore.

General Hospital Spoilers — Maxie Jones Is Caught Off Guard

Since Maxie is going to remain oblivious to the fact that Britt is sick, or that she’s been confiding in Maxie’s man and leaning on him for support, it will be jarring to her to find Britt standing up for Austin against her own family.

Maxie may question what Britt thinks she knows about Austin that Maxie doesn’t, and it might even come down to a matter of giving Austin an alibi he doesn’t deserve — one which will make it look like Austin and Britt had something going on when they didn’t.
