John Stamos Supports Full House Costar Lori Loughlin Over College Admission Scandal

Lori Loughlin, 57, was jailed in 2020 for fraud after she pled guilty to paying a whopping sum of $500,000 for her daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Giannulli to be admitted to college.

Actually, Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, 59, were both in on the act so they both pleaded guilty. While Lori served two months in jail with 150 community service, Mossimo served five months.

Two years later, after everything concerning the college admission scandal have quietened down, John Stamos, Lori’s co-star in the sitcom “Full House” spoke out to defend Lori.

 John Stamos’ – Stance On Lori’s Case

First of all, let me quickly tell you that John and Lori weren’t just anyhow co-stars in the tv show “Full House” nope, they actually played the roles of husband and wife on the show.

Now, in a recent appearance at Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, John Stamos gave his take on Lori’s college admission scandal. Who better to defend you than your husband huh? Even if the “husband” title is just for a show, huh?

John told Dax that he had a conversation with Lori the previous night concerning the kind words Dax said about Lori. John said, “You said some really nice stuff about her. We talked last night about you. It was something that you were saying about how you hate when people bring her up because if you defend her, then people get mad. If you don’t defend her, then you feel bad because she’s a great person.”

Continuing, John gave his two pence on how Lori was never the cause of the fraud and how Lori spent time to make up for her mistake.

“She wasn’t really the architect of any of it. She was in the way background. She didn’t know what was going on. She also paid a lot of money. She set up a college fund for kids and she went to f—ing jail, man.”

After serving her jail term, she made her first appearance as a guest on KTLA’s “Lead with Love 3 telethon” and shared her experience volunteering for Project Angel Food in Los Angeles.

On Lori Loughlin’s Experience With Project Angel Food

While discussing her experience with Project Angel Food, Lori revealed that the organization took her as a family and treated her so well, she acknowledged that she was welcomed and that when she began volunteering for the organization, she was at a very low place in her life but they made her feel at home.

Lori also said that she views Project Angel Food as not just about feeding people but more than that, Lori said the organization is more into loving and helping people, not just feeding people, and to Lori, that is very important. “Working with people, who have hit a low in their life, facing extreme illness, or have lost their job during the pandemic,” said Lori, “Project Angel Food, is there for them.

Even though Lori is done serving her 150 hours of community service, Lori is still volunteering for Project Angel Food. A source close to Lori revealed that Lori “volunteer on a weekly basis, every week, making deliveries. She doesn’t do this for show.” The source explained that Lori is very passionate about the task and isn’t loud about it, “She’s very quiet about it, but she shows up every single week. It’s become a weekly thing for her. It’s a part of who she is. She really loves this work.”
