Holiday Heritage Brings A Family Back Together To Celebrate Christmas On Hallmark

Hallmark Channel is releasing a new, original movie, Holiday Heritage, in an effort to get a family back together at Christmas. Starring Lyndie Greenwood, Brooks Darnell and Holly Robinson Peete, the movie celebrates Christmas and Kwanzaa and healing old wounds. Forming part of the popular Countdown to Christmas, Holiday Heritage features a constellation of stars. According to the official synopsis, the movie tells the story of a family that hasn’t celebrated the holidays for some time. Meanwhile, with the holidays approaching, Ella (Lyndie Greenwood) returns home to convince her grandmother Tess Chapel (Darlene Cooke) and her mother Micah (Holly Robinson Peete) to heal past wounds in the family.

Meanwhile, Ella believes that the best way to bring her family back together is to celebrate the holidays together, something they haven’t done since her grandfather passed away. To make the family’s Christmas season extra festive, Ella enlists the help of Griffin (Brooks Darnell), the newly elected mayor and her former boyfriend.

Meanwhile, after spending Christmas together as a family, Ella, Tess and Micah decide to celebrate Kwanzaa, to embrace its unifying message. This moving and heartwarming, multi-generational story sees the women celebrate the holiday season in a unique way while healing through reconnection.

About the cast of the Hallmark movie

Holiday Heritage stars Lyndie Greenwood as Elle and is known for her role in Sleepy Hollow, while Brooks Darnell, who plays Griffin has starred in The Young and the Restless. Elle’s mother, Micah, is played by Holly Robinson Peete who has starred in a number of movies and TV shows, including Out Christmas Journey and 21 Jump Street. Meanwhile, Elle’s grandmother, Tess is played by Darlene Cook of Mayor of Kingstown fame.
