Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) is thinking solely of her son on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She’s not moving back into the penthouse because old feelings for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have been revived.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has been understanding during this period where Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is suffering from a myriad of family problems and the Grand Phoenix hotel event where Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) held him, his parents, and others hostage. But he remains on the edge where his detested brother is concerned.

‘Chick’ has been split at various points during the two times they were together, which included an intermediary period where Chelsea took her son and left Genoa City, Wisconsin, in 2018, before returning last summer. As Y&R fans know, Egan’s return to the cast was coupled with the Adam recast.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chadam Then And Maybe, Now

Connor has been living with his dad for about a month. Chelsea okay’d that move after Nick retrieved Adam from Las Vegas, Nevada, where Grossman’s character returned to, thinking it would be forever.

Adam’s growth as a human being is real. He was devastated in learning that double-dosing his father’s medication apparently killed Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Then, Adam decided that he wasn’t a good influence on Connor and left town. But he immediately returned after learning that his son was having serious emotional troubles.

Chelsea recognizes that Adam has changed. Nick disagrees but recognizes that the woman he loves is allowing herself to be drawn back to what was and may again be ‘Chadam’s’ world.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Claims Commitment To Chick

Chelsea felt guilty the entire time she was away from GC. In soapy time that was a matter of years.

She was very grateful to receive Nick’s rather quick forgiveness earlier this year. Chelsea also outright rejected Adam’s request that they reconcile. That gave Nick hope that she’d gotten his brother out of her system.

‘Chick’ was set to raise their children together, which includes Adam’s last-born son, Christian Newman (Alex Wilson). Then, Adam’s revenge plans got carried away and chaos ensued. Connor was dramatically impacted by that outcome and by Chelsea’s connection to Simon.

Egan’s character is being genuine in telling Nick that he’s still the man she wants to spend her life with. But Connor’s issues probably won’t be resolved quickly, which projects to keeping her at the penthouse and connected to Adam indefinitely.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Brother’s History Repeating

Nick, like his sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), wasn’t all that open to Adam when he returned to town in 2008. Nick’s feeling morphed to hostility due to a variety of factors through the years.

Adam’s boomerang back to GC was the last thing Nick wanted. But now that it’s happened and his brother isn’t leaving, Nick has to deal with the very real possibility that Chelsea’s commitment will fray.

She is with Nick now. But the move back to what was ‘Chadam’s’ family home has the potential to be relationship altering, or ending, which Nick fears.
