British royal family news reveals that King Charles became monarch on September 8, upon the death of his mother Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. At the same time Charles’ second wife Camilla became Queen Consort. But is there something afoot in the monarchy, a move that is about to make Camilla’s role disappear?

It’s no secret that Camilla has had a fractious relationship with the public. Both she and Charles were married to others when they had an affair which sunk their marriages. The late Diana went public with her anger at the adultery and public opinion about Camilla was swift and harsh.

Since then, she has redeemed herself through dedicated hard work and a dignified demeanor.

Royal Family News – Camilla Is Eased Out?

Queen Elizabeth herself stated this year that she wished her DIL to be given the title Queen Consort. There has been some speculation that Charles will have Camilla keep a low profile in order to ease any lingering tensions among certain segments of the population.

But now news indicates that that is the very last thing Charles will do in regard to his queen. According to GeoTv, “The new monarch recently landed five winners from his first 25 runners since the Queen died and the Racing Post claimed that Charles is ‘likely’ to ask Camilla to lead the show.”

Additionally, ITV Racing presenter Oli Bell told the outlet, “For all that the landscape will be different moving forward, I think it’s in very safe hands.” In other words, Camilla will be in charge and her role is indicative of her prominence.

As reported by The Sun, Bell added, “I know firsthand how much Camilla loves horses and also how much her passion for racing has grown in recent years. There is clearly an indelible link between the royal family and horse racing. I was relieved to hear her enthusiasm, passion and appetite for it.”

Royal Family News -How Will Camilla Respond To Spare?

In fact, Charles is so adamant that Camilla be given her proper due that it’s been reported that he is waiting to see if Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir Spare mentions her in a negative light. To date Charles has declined to give Harry’s kids royal titles. Some speculate that if Harry trashes Camilla, there will be no titles—indicating that Camilla wields considerable power within the monarchy and that she is not going anywhere any time soon, if ever.
