Seeing how she was so close to both her mother and of course, her children, there’s a very good chance that Lisa Marie Presley would never have imagined for this to happen after her death. There’s a new report that says Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla Presley might be going head to head with her granddaughter as she claims the amendment in the late singer and songwriter’s trust might be fake. Here’s what you need to know.
Priscilla Presley Presley’s Dilemma – Claims Amendment In Lisa Marie’s Trust Might Be Fake
According to TMZ, Priscilla claims that she recently discovered that she and Lisa Marie’s former business manager Barry Siegel are not longer on the amendment in her trust and that Lisa Marie’s two children, Riley and Benjamin Keough, are on there instead. However, Benjamin died of suicide back in 2020. Because of this, the amendment leaves Riley as the sole trustee of her mother’s trust.
Priscilla says that Lisa Marie’s signature on the documents “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature.”
While this certainly will put Priscilla Presley at odds with Riley, she wants the amendment declared invalid. Now, whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.
What’s Next For Lisa Marie’s Family?
Earlier this month, Lisa Marie had been rushed to a hospital only a few hours before she was pronounced dead. “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” the family said in a statement. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
At the time, Priscilla also released a statement about her daughter’s death the said, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
In 2020, Lisa Marie herself admitted that she was devastated over her son Benjamin’s suicide. She also wrote an essay for National Grief Awareness Day, “I keep going for my girls. I keep going because my son made it very clear in his final moments that taking care of his little sisters and looking out for them were on the forefront of his concerns and his mind. He absolutely adored them and they him.”
