Well, it seems like we are learning something new everyday from the one and only miss Dolly Parton as there’s a new report that says she had a secret stake in one of the biggest primetime television shows of the 1990s: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. According to The Globe, Dolly Parton was a silent producer on the hit show. Even though she was never credited for being a producer, it wasn’t until recently that Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed that her 77-year-old friend not only helped bankroll the series, but she also worked behind the scenes from 1997 to 2003. If that weren’t enough, Dolly was also so sweet and kind that she got everyone on the cast and crew Christmas presents each year. But knowing Dolly, that certainly doesn’t surprise us, right?

One source close to the situation even said, “Dolly’s company produced the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie in 1992, and it bombed. But years later, she brought up the idea of making it to a television series, thinking that it would go over better than the movie. She was right, of course, and wound up making her investment back 100 times over.”

But then again, if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Dolly Parton over the years, it’s that she’s one very good business woman – and she’s also one of the smartest women in show business, too.
