Phyllis is appreciative of Nick’s invitation and doesn’t want to ruin his Christmas plans, so she decides to keep quiet and not reveal the reasons for not joining his Christmas celebrations.”

But here’s the thing: Nick is not about to let Phyllis bow out of this so quickly.
