According to the latest edition of The Globe, John seems to be none too pleased with the fact that Tom is enjoying his success thanks to his mega-hit movie, Tom Gun: Maverick. He’s been spending a lot of time schmoozing with Hollywood’s elite, just like he used to do in the past.

One source close to the situation even said, “John is nowhere on Tom’s list of people to see while he’s in Los Angeles and that’s being seen as a direct slap in the face to his old rival. People thought they had buried the hatchet, but clearly not enough.”

What’s more, it seems like Tom’s career is continuing to soar while John’s is going nowhere at the moment. The only thing he’s done lately is star in a Super Bowl ad which people seem to have forgotten about already. If that weren’t enough, John also feels as though he should have gotten the Freedom Medal of Award that Tom got from David Miscavige way back in 2008 and can’t seem to get over it.

John believes that he was the first one to help put the church on the Hollywood map way before Tom even came into the picture, and yet he’s never really gotten any credit for it.

Tom Cruise And John Travola – Can’t Share The Same Room Together

The tipster added, “The feeling is Tom deliberately swooped in to unseat John, and John’s still annoyed about that. But it goes way beyond their Scientology status,” while also adding, “Publicly, they say the right things about each other, but their personalities are too strong for them to share space in the same room.”

So far both actors have made no comments about the matter.
