The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Summer Discovers Phyllis Is Alive, Keeps Truth From Kyle & Daniel

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) breaks her cover and reaches out to her daughter Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). Summer is in mourning for her mother’s “death” which obviously is not true as Summer finds out when she is called to Chancellor Park.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Red Is Not Dead

Summer goes to the park to meet her anonymous summoner and is blown away to see Red very much alive. Despite her shock or maybe because of it, Summer hugs it out with Phyllis. Eventually Summer suggests that she call her brother Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).

Summer’s idea is rejected as Phyllis is in a boat load of trouble not the least of which is the death of her partner in crime Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Y&R spoilers – Summer Relieved

Phyllis does damage control on her wackadoodle story of the last few days pretending to be dead. Eventually Summer learns that Jeremy tried to kill Phyllis before she used his murder weapon, scissors, on him. By all indications, Phyllis killed Jeremy in self-defense. But that is not all she has been up to in recent days and if and when the police find out she will have a lot of explaining to do.

Summer is convinced that Phyllis cannot be outed just yet and agrees to go along with the secrecy. Summer becomes her mom’s next partner in crime, lying to everyone, but she’s not thinking clearly.

For instance, what happens when Daniel finds out what his mom and sister did to him? This is adding insult to injury to let him believe that Phyllis is dead, then not letting him know she is alive.

Summer also lies to her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) who has stood by her side even as she accused his mom, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), of murdering Phyllis. There is no doubt Kyle will not take kindly to Summer letting his mom suffer when she knows full well that she is innocent.

What is Summer thinking? Despite some guilt about her lies, she chooses to remain loyal to Phyllis over everyone else and this will lead to major fireworks in the coming days!
