Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley will reprise their roles as Tony DiMera and Anna Fredericks Brady DiMera, respectively, on Days of Our Lives starting January 21.

Tony and Anna DiMera were last seen on Days of Our Lives In November 2019 when they went on a trip to Europe after he was cleared in the murder of Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini). Spoilers for January 21 indicate that this episode is part of a flashback week in which the unanswered questions left by the one-year time jump will be played out and answered. On January 21, Tony will find out that Anna betrayed him and the drama concerning his discovery and the aftermath should play out during the remainder of the week.

DOOL Spoilers – Tony DiMera Was First Seen On Days Of Our Lives In 1981

The character of Tony DiMera was introduced on November 6, 1981, until October 24, 1985, and from July 19, 2007, until April 1, 2009. One of the character’s main storylines includes being impersonated by fellow character André DiMera, at various points in the character’s tenure. However, both roles were played by Penghlis.

He reprised the role in a guest capacity in March 2019, before returning in a recurring capacity later that July. Count Tony DiMera arrived in Salem in 1981 for two purposes. He wanted to win back his wife, Liz Chandler, whom he had never officially divorced. He also wanted to scope out Salem on orders from his father Stefano DiMera to see if it was suitable to relocate the DiMera family business.

Setting up his penthouse with hidden cameras, Tony throws a big party with invites sent to all of Salem’s finest. After the party, Tony shows the videos to Stefano. Learning that the Brady family, the DiMeras sworn enemy, is alive and well in Salem, Stefano has Tony plant roots in the business community in order to continue the vendetta against them. He was able to complete his divorce from Liz, however.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Tony DiMera And Anna Fredericks Meet And Marry

Days of Our Spoilers – Anna Fredericks first arrives in Salem in 1982, searching for Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), her husband and the father of her daughter, Carrie Brady (Christie Clark). For many years, Roman had been under the impression that Anna had been dead when in reality she had been sold into slavery. Anna has several red marks on her back, which she claims were from being whipped but were in fact from multiple sclerosis.

Following her divorce from Roman, Anna takes a job as Tony DiMera’s secretary, while working in secret for Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo at that time) who pays Anna $1,000,000 to have Roman fired from the ISA. To achieve this, Anna has Carrie hypnotized to place fake deposit slips in Roman’s home. Although Roman is fired from the police force, the ISA are convinced that Roman had been framed. In 1983, Anna drugs Tony and marries him in Las Vegas, which angers him.

At one point in time, she discovers she is pregnant with Tony DiMera`s child, but suffers a miscarriage later on. Tony was presumed dead three times including prior to his return to Salem in 2019.
