Nick Cannon Devotes Daddy Duty To Just One Of His 12 Kids!

Nick Cannon sounded like a candidate for father of the year recently. The Masked Singer host gushed over how he spends so much time with his daughter Onyx Ice Cole Cannon.

But one issue might prevent Cannon from winning a Best Celebrity Dad Award: Nick fathered a total of 12 kids with six women. And his recent comments raised questions about how much time he devotes to all his other kids amid his busy schedule.

Nick Cannon – Reveals Which Child Gets His Devotion

As the father of 12 kids with six women, Nick Cannon takes pride in doing daddy duty. And he gushed over how much time he spends with one of his children. The Masked Singer Host revealed that most of his available time to play daddy goes to his daughter Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, 8 months. And Cannon called the little girl who he shares with LaNisha Cole “my beautiful daughter Onyx. That’s probably the child that I spend the most time with, really,” Nick said via E News.

And the Masked Singer host also revealed that he devotes a minimum of “three times a week, for the full day,” to Onyx. However, Nick credits his daughter’s mother for helping with the co-parenting arrangement. “LaNisha and I have a super strong understanding,” praised the 42-year-old. “And our co-parenting operation is so solid. If you see me on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, my daughter’s right next to me.”

And Cannon shared that he also installed a nursery in his office. But Nick clarified that his time with Onyx does not impact his hours with his other offspring. Because “they’re in school, they’re babies,” Cannon indicated his schedule suits Onyx’s the most. And he added, “I appreciate that LaNisha gives me the respect enough to allow me to have her, really, as equal amount of time that she does.”

Nick Cannon – Forgot One Of His 12 Kids’ Names

However, the Masked Singer host made his remarks about Onyx after forgetting to include her in a listing of the names of his children. But Nick blamed forgetting Onyx on what happened during the Howard Stern Show interview. And though Cannon confessed he messed up, he also complained that Howard interrupted him during his roll call of kids. 

In addition to Onyx, Nick co-parents twins Moroccan Cannon and Monroe Cannon, 11, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. And the TV host shares sons Golden Cannon, 6, and Rise Messiah Cannon, 7 months and daughter Powerful Queen Cannon, 2, with Brittany Bell. Cannon co-parents twin sons Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon, 23 months, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin Cannon, 6 months, with Abby De La Rosa.

And Nick also shares son Legendary Love Cannon, 10 months, with Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi. In addition, Cannon co-parents daughter Halo Marie Cannon, 5 months, with Alyssa Scott. The model and Nick’s oldest child together, son Zen Cannon, died in 2021 at age 5 months from brain cancer.

Nick Cannon – Slams ‘Deadbeat Dad’ Title

However, the Masked Singer host knows that he has repeatedly received criticism for fathering so many children. And Cannon recently took time to slam those who threw shade at him. In particular, Nick responded to those who feel that his lifestyle doesn’t seem suited to supporting all those children financially and emotionally.

But Cannon challenged those who see him as a villain. “I hear all the time: ‘You can’t be present for all those children.’ So therefore I get this deadbeat dad title.” But Nick added, “It’s not about what I do for you or what I say to you. It’s about how you feel when I’m with you. If you feel loved when you see your dad, that’s what’s gonna resonate.”
