General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Can’t Turn To Sonny, So She Pleads With Valentin Instead

General Hospital spoilers claim Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is about to face a dilemma that will test his loyalty and devotion to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Caught between two women who have captured his heart, he must choose who needs him more right now. Anna — the woman who has stood by him through thick and thin — has just been exposed as a double agent and lost everything she’s worked for.

As she struggles to find her place in a world without espionage, Valentin must decide if their love is strong enough to withstand the turmoil. It’s a decision that could mean the difference between a future together, or apart. At the same time, his past will come creeping in as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) begs Valentin to help her cover up her dirty deeds — something Anna may not take kindly to.

Valentin has always been a man of grand gestures, and when it comes to Nina, he’s no different. His love for her runs deep, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s still nursing a guilty conscience over all he put her through. Nina has a man who loves her and has finally found her daughter. Her cup should be overflowing, yet it isn’t. If Valentin can do something to mend that now, he may feel that he owes her that much. Nina is in a bind, afraid of losing both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and her fledgling relationship with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).

If there were any other pickle Nina was in, she would be able to go to Sonny and have him fix the mess for her. He would lie for her, give her an alibi, and otherwise do whatever she needed to keep her life and reputation intact. But this time, it’s about Sonny — and his never-ending attachment to his ex-wife. Nina can’t possibly ask him to help her, so who can she turn to? While Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) ex is busy protecting her, maybe Nina can rely on the same from her own ex-hubs.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will He Take the Fall for Her?

When Nina runs to Valentin in hopes that he can negotiate with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and figure out a way to keep him from telling everyone what he has discovered, her ex-husband is going to have another plan in mind. Valentin doesn’t need to barter or strong-arm Ned into being quiet in order to keep Nina’s secret. He can divert attention from Nina first, and negotiate with Ned later. By coming forward and saying he is the guilty party who turned Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in, everyone will adopt Valentin’s confession as truth. He can deal with the negotiations with Ned after he wakes up. But he will have to answer to Anna, and she’s going to wonder why he ratted on Carly and Drew — as well as why he kept it a secret.
