Hallmark Romance: Katie Cassidy Is Dating Her Costar Stephen Huszar

Katie Cassidy, 36, is starring with Stephen Huszar, 39, in the Hallmark movie A Royal Christmas Crush. Now, the Arrow alum has officially let the “cats out of the bag”  by announcing that she is dating her costar. After rumors had started swirling, Katie shared an Instagram selfie of herself and Stephen, taken while on a romantic getaway.

It is not totally surprising that a Hallmark movie couple should fall in love – it happens relatively often. While they share beautiful, romantic movies with the world, the love often rubs off. This is the case with Katie Cassidy, who has confirmed that she is dating Stephen Huszar.

The Arrow alum posted an Instagram selfie on Monday, June 12 of the pair, full of smiles while enjoying a romantic getaway. Cassidy captioned the image, “Welp, cats out of the bag… Happy Monday!”

As we previously reported, Katie recently shared a photo where she is kissing Huszar on the cheek, captioned, “❤ #PrinceCharming.”

The romantic news comes after Katie and Stephen met on the set of the Christmas in July movie, A Royal Christmas Crush. In the movie, Cassidy plays Ava, who takes a job at the Royal Ice Hotel and falls in love with a real-life Prince played by Huszar.

While the movie marks Katie’s Hallmark debut, Huszar has starred in a number of movies for the network. Fans will recall he starred in Magical Christmas Ornaments, Time After Time, Return to Christmas Creek, My One & Only, Undercover Holiday and Christmas in Rockwell.

Katie Cassidy’s former love life

Since Katie split from her husband, Matthew Rodgers, the actress has been keeping her life private. The new Hallmark star filed for divorce in January 2020 after two years of marriage. According to court papers, Cassidy cited the reason for the divorce as “irreconcilable differences,” while requesting a “dissolution without minor children.” The couple’s divorce was finalized in March 2021, leaving the Melrose Place alum free to find new love.

As for Huszar, he was reportedly dating Elyse Levesque before the news of his relationship with Cassidy came out.
