Airing as part of the network’s Christmas in July programming event, Cassidy leads alongside Stephen Huszar as a royal prince. A Royal Christmas Crush on Hallmark Channel

Long-term Arrow star, Katie Cassidy is set to star in her first new, Original Hallmark movie, A Royal Christmas Crush, opposite Hallmark staple leading man, Stephen Huszar. According to the brief synopsis, Cassidy stars as Ava, who is offered work at the Royal Ice Hotel. At the same time, a Royal Prince, played by Huszar, is staying there. This leads to a surprising flirtation and romance between Ava and the prince himself.

Judging from the image shared by Katie on her Instagram, the movie was filmed on location in Lisbon, Portugal. Meanwhile, Cassidy captioned the image with heart and kiss emojis, writing, “#PrinceCharming.” They certainly make a lovely couple together in the photo.

As noted by TVLine, the movie will mark Cassidy’s first venture with Hallmark and could probably bring more work for the actress on the network. Meanwhile, the Christmas in July programming event is popular with viewers who would be happy to watch Christmas movies all year round. Meanwhile, Stephen Huszar has starred in a number of Hallmark movies, including Love in Glacier National: A National Park Romance, Return to Christmas Creek, My One & Only, the Ruby Herring movie series, and many more. Stephen’s latest movie is The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost. That movie premieres on Friday, May 12 at 9 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Huszar is also known for his roles in the TV series Fringe, Faces in the Crowd, The Flash and Supernatural.
