Kate Middleton Plays Peacemaker – ‘Megxit’ Causing More Royal Family Tension?

Royals news indicates that there continues to be increased tension among Royal Family members due to “Megxit.” Even though Queen Elizabeth’s statement says they are supportive, it seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision is causing a lot of drama behind the scenes. Meanwhile, Kate Middleton tries to play peacemaker.

Royal Family Rifts, Fallouts and Tension

When “Megxit” was first announced, there were reports of chaos and turmoil within the Royal Family. The rumors were settled for a short time after Queen Elizabeth released a statement saying they were “very supportive” of the couple wanting independence.

However, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight that things aren’t so pleasant behind the scenes. There is tension, rifts, fallouts and resentment due to Harry and Meghan stepping down. This includes an alleged division that is still coming between William and Harry.

Kate Middleton Plays Peacemaker

Nicholl said that the one person who is trying to establish and maintain peace among the Royal Family is Kate Middleton. At one time, she was close to Harry and would like to see the brothers repair their relationship.

It is also one way she is showing her leadership and conflict resolution skills. Both of these are important skills as she deals with the public, who may begin asking difficult questions. She is also probably preparing to take on additional responsibilities as the royal roles change due to “Megxit.”

Royal Rift to Eventually End

The royal expert predicts that eventually, William and Harry will heal their fractured relationship. It might take some time, but at some point, they are going to have to work out their issues.

“At some point down the future, there will be a closeness between the four of them, if not for themselves, for the royal cousins because it’s emerged that … the Cambridge children have actually only met Archie a handful of times.”

‘Megxit’ Madness

As for whether there is any conflict between the Sussex royal couple and the rest of the family, that remains unknown. However, many feel that there is some lingering bitterness over how the couple announced their royal self-demotion plans. There is also the fact that their responsibilities are going to be passed onto someone else.

While it is understandable why “Megxit” could cause tension, perhaps the drastic decision is for the best. In the past, Meghan has hinted at being overwhelmed with Royal life. This just might be Harry’s way of protecting his wife, both mentally and emotionally. Hopefully, everything will work out for everyone involved.
