General Hospital spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) could be hiding a rather big secret. Her love life sure seems lackluster right now, but is that by choice? The Maxonista seems to think so. Soon, she’s going to open up to her girlfriend, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Unbeknownst to Maxie, Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) did this months ago, hinting to Sam that he’s still madly in love with his daughter’s mother. So when Maxie shares with Sam that she’s been feeling a certain way about Spinelli, it’s going to send Sam’s head spinning — pun intended!

Sam isn’t the type of friend who runs wild with gossip. If Maxie doesn’t want anyone to know how she feels, that’s her prerogative. Likewise, Spinelli shared his feelings with Sam in confidence. She can’t very well just spill them to Maxie, who has finally caught up to Spin’s pace in their on-again-off-again love affair. There is nothing Sam would like to see more than Maxie and Spinelli finding their way back to one another, but that’s just it — it’s their job to make that journey, not hers.

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was in need of help and knew he could count on Sam to be there. Despite her hesitancy about him in the beginning, Sam has learned to appreciate Cody for the friend he is to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Ah, and she knows so little about just how much he’s done for the guy.

Sam recently pulled Spinelli into the mix to help her and Cody force a confession out of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). It didn’t work, but it may lead to more digging around that could cause Spinelli to dig up the truth about the DNA test — and that he is Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) son. Should Cody — and even Sam — swear Spinelli to secrecy, he might be left holding the bag when Maxie finds out she had a brother and Spin knew.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Silver Lining

Cody’s DNA reveal will rock the entire family. Mac is likely to still open his arms to his son, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be collateral damage. We’ve waited so long to see Maxie and Spinelli get another shot at a relationship and this time we really want it to work. But we know how easy it is for others to influence Spinelli — particularly Sam. It’s going to tear him apart to keep this secret from Maxie and her family, but he may have to in order to carry out the current case against Gladys without smearing Cody’s name in the process. Will she be able to forgive him for doing the wrong thing for the right reasons? That sounds a lot like an excuse Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) or Peter August (Wes Ramsey) would have hidden behind.
