Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Spider Nugent met an ending following his scary moment with Toyah Battersby. In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Spider and Toyah got into an intense conversation after she discovered that her beau was still connecting with his ex-wife.

The man then explained that they were just trying to speed up their divorce so he can finally spend the rest of his life with Toyah. Moreover, he dropped to his knee and asked Toyah to marry him.

Though the moment ended sweetly, Spider still got something that Toyah didn’t know about. He helped Griff to get the freedom he wanted after receiving multiple threats.

To protect him from the gang leader’s wrath, the Superintendent gave the undercover a new project that required him to step away from the cobbles.

Spider Nugent Rescues Toyah

In the recent scenes of “Coronation Street,” Spider found himself rushing to save Toyah as a woman brought her to the waste ground and used her as a hostage.

It all started when Toyah received a knock on her door and opened up to a woman who claimed to be Spider’s ex-wife. When the man knew about the matter, he immediately gave Toyah a call letting her know that the woman was an impostor.

When Spider arrived home, the place was already empty, and got blood on the floor. The worried beau made his way to rescue Toyah and he found out that the kidnapper was someone from his previous job. He

realized that the lady holding the gun was the wife of a man who ended up dead. The woman then stated that she wanted Spider to feel the way she felt before.

Though the police undercover explained that he has to take action against her drug dealer husband, the woman was still devoured with anger making her gun go off. Fortunately, Spider protected himself with a bulletproof vest and immediately called DS Swain for backup.

Spider Nugent Chooses Career Over Love

Back in their apartment, Toyah expressed her fear over the recent traumatic experience. Worried about what might happen next, the woman gave her beau an ultimatum that if he cannot let go of his job, they will put an end to their relationship. Though Spider didn’t say anything, his eyes did the talking. As a result, Toyah decided to call it quits.
