The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has two good lawyers and temporary freedom. Securing bail allows the never-dead Phyllis, who is also Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) killer, to roam the streets of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Imagine if Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) were living out the same scenario. Phyllis would not respond well. Yet, she continues to rationalize all that happened in recent months and is now claiming to be reformed.

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) has lost plenty defending her mother. The intensity of stress applied to her by Phyllis led to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) effectively ending their marriage.

Devoted fans likely found it interesting that Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) was suddenly called to help his mother, Gloria Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman). Michael’s need to leave town led to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) asking his recent ex, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) to help his mom.

Heather happened not to be in Portugal. She was in Savannah, Georgia, where Daniel and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) attempted to form a family. But that disintegrated when Graziadei’s character withdrew from life.

The trio moved to Portugal, but Daniel could not overcome his issues. He eventually decided to move home to GC.

A side note was injected into Heather’s tell to Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell). Heather’s father and Christine’s estranged husband, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) is said to be living in Portugal now.

So, Bloom’s character is being partially used to attempt to explain why one of Y&R’s all-time legacy characters is not around.

All who appreciate Davidson’s importance in this soap opera’s history remain hopeful that TPTB write him back into GC during this fiftieth-anniversary year celebration.

YR Spoilers – Summer Newman Abbott’s Problems Shift

Summer learns about Kyle’s romantic connection, to put it nicely, with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Lanier’s character has been racked with guilt after Kyle blamed his wife’s defense of Phyllis as the reason why trust was eviscerated.

The revelation that Kyle chose to break the marriage vow he made to Summer and reaffirmed at last year’s renewal ceremony on the grounds of the Abbott family mansion, is mind-blowing. Summer’s reality is changed in that instant, with the impact of her helping Phyllis put in a different perspective.

This is soap. So, Phyllis could beat the faked death and murder raps because of Michael and Heather’s skillful lawyering.

Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) deal feels likely to help Phyllis immensely. It also affords her the ability to pretend to be done with Diane’s drama. But the fans know Phyllis’ directive is to subtly drive Diane up the daytime wall.

Phyllis’ greater issue will be earning the trust of her family and friends on Y&R.
