Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Paddy Bever shared his thoughts about his character’s future in the cobbles.
In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Max reconnected to gang activities when his ex-girlfriend, Lauren, stepped back into the Weatherfield. The two first met when the gang leader, Griff, invited the young man to his house. When Lauren returned, Max faced several challenges, including his relationship with Sabrina. It all started when Shona spotted Max busy preparing a picnic that she assumed would be for him and Sabrina.
She immediately approached the woman and told her about Max’s plan. However, when Sabrina reached the place, she was horrified when she saw Max having a great time with Lauren. The young man then explained that Lauren was just telling him to visit her dad, Reece, in prison. After talking with Reece, Max felt that the man was just using him to take action against Griff.
Despite his friendship with Lauren, Max rejected Reece’s idea as he didn’t want to get involved with any Griff-related issue anymore. The young man then told Lauren that if she backs up her dad, he cannot give her his full support. Meanwhile, due to Max’s refusal, Reece ended up sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Paddy Bever Voices Ideas About His Character
During his latest interview, Paddy Bever got something in mind about his character’s future after acquiring freedom from STC. “When I first arrived, someone was showing me around and pointed to a tattoo parlor, saying no one works there, so when Max is 18, if I’m fortunate enough to still be playing him, I think a tattoo parlor would be a really cool place for him to work,” he told Inside Soap.
Believing that a place like a tattoo parlor attracts outcast people, Bever considered his character to be the appropriate person to work there. Moreover, he also shared his experiences working with brilliant cast members such as Helen Worth and Sue Nicholls. The actor showered the two legends with compliments as “they always make time for other people and listen” to their stories and ideas.
“I’m so lucky. Sometimes when I’m watching Helen and Sue in a scene, I’m kind of in awe – and have to remember that I’m in the scene too,” he uttered.
