General Hospital Spoilers: Mason Gatlin Swerves “She” To “He”, Adding A New Layer Of Speculation

General Hospital (GH) spoilers have been teasing for months now that Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) “mystery boss” has been a woman. Or so fans thought. After a female reference was made a while ago, viewers have been speculating on who the mysterious boss lady could be with theories ranging from Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) to Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck), and everyone else in between.

Still, with one slip of the tongue during a recent scene, audience theories have now shifted dramatically.

General Hospital Spoilers – Turns Out “She’s” A “He”

Not many missed GH fans missed the major plot twist that casually happened during the August 14th episode when Mason was arguing with his cousin Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) in his office at the hospital, as “nanny” Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) watched on.

Austin asked Mason why “the boss” wants information on Sonny and Pikeman, and Gatlin answered that he has no idea but if “he” wants it, you bet “he’s” going to get it.

In one fell swoop, fans no longer are speculating over a villainess, rather now Mason’s mystery boss is a “villain” … a man.

GH Spoilers – Could There Be A Dynamic Duo Orchestrating Things?

Now, there could be a male-female duo here, where Mason refers to both as “the boss”. Then again, maybe the male boss is married to Mason’s mom, which is where the original female reference of the mystery person came from.

Austin is linked to Mason through his mother’s family tree, Charity Gatlin (Gloria Carlin); so, Mason’s mother or father could be related to Charity, connecting the two men as cousins. If Charity had a sister, then maybe she’s the “she” Mason and Austin originally were referring her to.

Still, it’s hard not to wonder if this “mystery boss” is known to viewers or if the villain is a new one. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was fresh to the GH canvas and has created an incredible impact in Port Charles, and roots in the little town. It’ll be interesting to see how this storyline plays out.
