General Hospital Spoilers: What Will 2020 Bring For Ava Jerome?

While we patiently wait for new episodes of General Hospital, we thought we would take a stab at what we think may happen with some of our favorite characters in the coming year. This is all just for fun, while we wait for new shows to finally air. So let’s look at Ava Jerome (Maura West).l

Worst year ever!!

There is no doubt about it. 2019 was not a good year for Ava. Between dealing with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and the fact that he murdered her daughter, Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) and then being haunted by what she thought was the ghost of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), it’s no wonder that she checked herself into Shadybrook. But that was last year, and in 2020 it seems that Ava has gotten her mojo back.

A new marriage!

But thanks to finding the codicil that would restore the Cassadine estate back to Nikolas, Ava was able to negotiate a marriage to the young prince. It’s a sexless, but faithful marriage, but Ava seems to be poised to come out on top, even if the marriage fails. But there is one thing that Ava doesn’t seem to know, and it could bring all of her plans toppling down on top of her. Nikolas is already married to Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig), so Ava’s marriage to Nikolas is illegal and regardless of any legal paperwork signed, it seems doubtful that she will be able to claim half of anything.

But love could bloom!

But there have been signs that there might be something going on between Nikolas and Ava. They have had some tender moments and it’s quite possible that when all is said and done, that the two of them could find themselves in love. If that happens, look for Ava and Nikolas to become the new power couple of Port Charles! Ava is due some happiness after the events of last year. But the past isn’t easily erased and one part of it may come roaring back.

Ryan’s return

Pentonville doesn’t have a very good track record in terms of keeping its prisoners incarcerated. There have been many escapes from the prison in the past, and one more seems quite likely. Ryan Chamberlain might very well somehow escape from Pentonville, and there’s no doubt he will come for his obsession, Ava. Ava (and Nikolas) could find themselves in grave danger if Ryan goes free. Ryan’s reign of terror won’t last forever, let’s just hope that Ava survives!
