She goes to Franco to have the portrait painted. This upsets Nikolas Cassadine, (Marcus Coloma) knowing that she and Franco were once lovers, and he is already upset about Franco being married to Elizabeth. The two men don’t trust each other, and after a tension-filled cross with Nikolas, Franco seeks out Ava.

GH Spoilers – Franco Baldwin Knows That Ava Jerome Cassadine’s Marriage To Nikolas Cassadine Isn’t For Real

Franco knows that Ava’s marriage to Nikolas isn’t for real – it’s legal, but marriage in name only to achieve ends that each one of them wants to achieve – in other words, a business arrangement! Franco and Ava are still friends – if on a tenuous basis since Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) died, who Franco believed for many years was his daughter, mainly because Ava lied to him that he was her birth father.

But Franco does care enough about Ava that he takes it upon himself to warn Ava that the Cassadines are dangerous, Nikolas included, and that she could be playing with fire – he wants to be sure that she knows what she’s gotten into and knows what she’s doing. Ava takes a selfie of herself on Franco’s phone for him to use in the creation of the portrait since neither one of them really has time for her to sit for the portrait and to avoid potential problems with either one’s spouses.

General Hospital Spoilers – Franco Baldwin Tells His Wife Elizabeth Baldwin About The Commissioning Of The Portrait

Franco tells his wife Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) all about Ava commissioning him to paint her portrait because he knows Liz doesn’t trust Ava. Granted, she trusts Franco more than she distrusts Ava, but Franco doesn’t want her to have any misunderstandings about it – he doesn’t even have to spend time with Ava for her to sit for the portrait since he’s painting it from the selfie she took on his phone for that purpose.

Elizabeth, as long time General Hospital viewers know, is also an artist, although she chose nursing as her profession, and she wants to support Franco as an artist. He hasn’t been able to create anything artistically for a long time, so she wants him to be able to, regardless of it being something that Ava has requested him to do. So there are no secrets between Franco and Liz about this job given to him by Ava!
