Princess Beatrice became engaged to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in September 2019. It was previously reported that the wedding would take place sometime this year. Well, a wedding date has finally been announced and it’s closer than you think. Keep reading to get all the exciting details!
Royal Engagement
When Princess Beatrice got engaged, everyone wanted the details. However, not much has been released except that the wedding wouldn’t be as lavish or grand as Princess Diana, Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle’s. Some thought this was due to Prince Andrew’s scandal, but others claim it’s due to Beatrice’s personality and preferences.
Princess Beatrice’s Wedding Date and Venue
According to an official statement released by the Royal Family on February 7, the big day is on May 29, 2020. That is only a few months away, so it’s coming up quickly.
As for where it will be held, it is all taking place at The Chapel Royal in St. James’ Palace. Following the wedding, there will be a reception held at Buckingham Palace gardens.
Royals News: The Chapel Royal
Princess Beatrice will not be the only one who has walked down the aisle in The Royal Chapel. Queen Victoria wed Prince Albert here in 1840. Also, Prince Geoge and Princess Mary married here in 1893.
Princess Eugenia expressed how excited she was for her sister.
Announcement Postponements
According to Elite Daily, the announcement was postponed not once, but twice. This was due to the headlines that affected the Royal Family. One was Prince Andrew’s scandal and the other was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down, dubbed “Megxit.” Those headlines took over newspapers, magazines and websites for weeks, so it’s no surprise they postponed the announcement.

Princess Beatrice’s wedding will not be televised like other Royal weddings. This came as a shock to the public. We all watched as Princess Diana and Kate Middleton, as well as other brides walked down the aisle. However, despite it not being on TV, it will be a lovely event. We wish her the best in her new life adventure.
