The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Retrospectives Create Present Focus

In retrospect, it was interesting that Y&R didn’t present an extensive ‘Kola’ review. That generally happens before a couple reaches the breaking point.

Kyle and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) were only together for less than a year. So, applying a traditional soap technique to a young couple without much history may not have seemed appropriate.

Choosing to go without flashback scenes also allowed the element of surprise to remain in effect, with many viewers likely being stunned to see this endearing couple come to such a swift and many might rightly argue, needless end.

Y&R Spoilers – New Realities In Genoa City

If Y&R has truly decided to reboot ‘Skyle and create a new couple, meaning Theo and Lola, then intense conflict ratchets up. That alone is a key reason why ‘Kola’ may have been destined to end.

Summer and Lola hadn’t liked each other but arrived at a level of respect following the half-liver donation King’s character provided. But the obvious emotions involved in all four crossing paths on a regular basis is sure to spark varied verbal exchanges. Of course, Kyle and Theo might come to blows again as well.

The former New York-based party buddies quickly transformed into foes in GC. So, it will be intriguing to see if the modern tension between these newfound cousin’s was mostly based on not being with their perceived ideal significant other, or pure personality factors will fuel ongoing skirmishes.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Permanent Ties Don’t Yet Exist

Summer came to realize that she loved Kyle and wanted to be with him. But that epiphany coincided with Calle’s write-in to the show. So, King’s character then tried to force marriage on Kyle, which resulted in an extremely short-lived nuptial period that eventually led to ‘Kola’s’ wedding.

As viewers recall, Kyle and Lola thought they might be having a baby at an early point in their marriage and were relieved to confirm that wasn’t the case via a home test. That particular instance was actually a red flag, as a loving couple can choose to embrace a new life their love creates at any point in time.

The idea of Lola having a child with Theo hasn’t been addressed until the end of this feature because ‘Leo’ isn’t a couple yet. Assuming that happens is a leap of faith, but Calle’s character having Johnson’s child wouldn’t fall that far behind.
