Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to move on from their royal past. They’re excited about the future ahead of them. The couple started their move back in January. They moved from the United Kingdom to North America. However, they won’t step down from their royal duties until the spring. Moving to a new location has become a security risk for the couple. Fifteen security guards are needed to protect Harry, Meghan, and their baby.
Harry and Meghan came equipped with a heavy security team. The two reportedly have 15 security guards working around the clock to protect them and their son, as reported by Showbiz CheatSheet. Meghan was photographed in Canada on various occasions. In some of the paparazzi photos, there were two security guards with her. According to the Sun, all 15 security guards reside in three other houses, including Meghan and Harry’s new home.
This is a higher number than what’s expected for royals. But since they’re living in a foreign location, away from the British Royal Family, they’re going to need the extra security. The security guards are reportedly a mix of British security and Canadian Mounties. In addition, the royals will remain to fly private for security and convenience reasons. Security plays a huge role in how the family plans to travel. If they flew commercial, they would have to take extra steps to ensure their safety during flights. Any security threat would prevent them from traveling.
Since Harry and Meghan announced that they were stepping back as working members of the royal family, people have wondered where they will live. The couple has been looking at homes in Los Angeles. But is Los Angeles the right place for Harry and Meghan if they want privacy? Dominic from TMZ told the Huffington Post that LA is “not the right place,” as it “has more paparazzi than anywhere in the world and it’s a city built around things celebrity.”

If the couple wants to have more privacy, then Lui, Canadian television host and founder of LaineyGossip.com, told the Huffington Post that they should “lockdown their circle of trust” and follow in Beyonce’s footsteps. The singer makes sure she never gets photographed because she has the “resources” and “intention of not really being seen,” according to the report. Beyonce is one of the most famous people in the world. However, people hardly see her in Los Angeles.
Now that Harry and Meghan are no longer part of the royal family, there is more interest in than ever before. Everyone wants to know what they’re going to do next. It’s never happened before in the history of the Royal Family. This could bring more media attention to the couple. Meghan already knows how L.A. works. If she wants privacy for herself and her family, then she’ll know what to do. What are your thoughts on Harry and Meghan seeking more privacy? Sound off below in the comments section.
