Dancing With The Stars: ‘Goddess’ Ariana Madix Honors Someone Special

Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) contestant Ariana Madix focused on a very special memory amid her third week on DWTS. And the Vanderpump Rules star also closed the chapter in her life that involved her cheating ex Tom Sandoval.

Ariana Madix – Honors Someone Special On DWTS

Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) week three gave Ariana Madix the opportunity to pay tribute to her late father. And the Vanderpump Rules star celebrated Motown Week with her partner Pasha Pashkov by performing a quickstep to The Supremes’ “You Can’t Hurry Love.” But Ariana shared that she felt “really excited” about the chance to honor her late father James Madix, who died from a heart attack on Aug. 15, 2013, reported People.

“I grew up listening to Motown music because that was one of my dad’s favorites,” revealed the Vanderpump Rules star, 39. “And so I’m really looking forward to this week especially and being able to celebrate my dad even though he can’t watch the show or be here. Hopefully I can honor him with that dance.”

And Ariana also wrote on social media about her father prior to her performance. “Tonight’s dance is dedicated to my dad. It’s times like these I really wish he could be here,” she admitted. “But tonight I’m dancing for him. Wherever you are.”

Ariana Madix – Closes ‘Book On Drama’

However, the Vanderpump Rules star began her competition on Dancing With The Stars with a very different focus. And she shared that she wanted to close “the book on the drama of my life.” That comment referred to her shock when her then-boyfriend Tom Sandoval, 41, got caught in a months-long secret affair with their Vanderpump Rules co-star Raquel Leviss, 29. And the affair concluded the relationship while stunning Ariana, her co-stars, and viewers.

As a result, when Madix entered the DWTS ballroom for the first time, she proudly donned a reinvention of her revenge dress from Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion. And she shared that she chose the ensemble to prove that “scandal does not define me.”

But beyond defying the scandal, the Vanderpump Rules star received praise from the judges. For instance, DWTS judge Derek Hough gushed about her routine. And he declared, “Ariana that was fantastic! The power. That was killer.” And in the wake of becoming named a “sex goddess” by judge Bruno Tonioli, Ariana shared that she has become “much more confident” about DWTS. She vowed to use the feedback from the judges to keep improving.
