The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that the worst of all possible outcomes have been confirmed—Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has a deadly illness and her time is severely limited. Fans were hoping against hope that somehow, someway, the vivacious redhead with a passion for life would pull through whatever it is that is plaguing her health.

Alas, apparently there is no cure for what ails her, this according to the doctor treating her.

With Sally’s time-limited, it’s hard not to think of her loved ones and how they will react to this devastating news. Wyatt (Darin Brooks) will be beside himself, he’s a good man even though he did toy with Sally’s heart on more than one occasion.

It’s been a while since fans have seen the original Sally onscreen. That’s because of her portrayer, the incomparable actress Darlene Conley, passed away in January 2007. Conley was a fan fave as Sally, and she played the part to perfection. Under Conley’s authority, Sally was larger than life personality who tangled with the likes of Stephanie Forrester and lived to tell the tale.

Did we mention that the older Sally was also a fashion designer like her namesake? Spectra Fashions was a design house that gave Forrester Fashions fits, and the drama that arose from the professional and personal tussles that ensued was dramedy delight.

After Conley’s death, it was eventually explained that Sally was now living life to the fullest off-screen, where she was never without company and just generally enjoying life on her own terms.

Sally’s current diagnosis has been made to seem dire and not survivable. We can’t help but ask, now that the younger Sally is leaving the canvas, is it time to bring back the original character of Sally Spectra?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers – How will Wyatt Spencer and Sally Spectra ’s loved ones cope with this dire turn of events?

Aunt Sally was a woman who didn’t know the meaning of the word no, and upon hearing of her niece’s plight, we can see her fighting tooth and nail to save the young woman. When that isn’t possible, it would totally be within Sally’s demeanor to want to resurrect Spectra Fashions in her niece’s honor.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) is fond of the younger Sally, and it would be an interesting turn of events if this time around Eric and his former nemesis played nice and worked together instead of against each other—what do you think?
