The Kardashian Curse claims that involvement with one of the Kardashian sisters causes bad luck. And it supposedly explains Scott Disick’s problems after dating Kourtney Kardashian, Kanye West’s issues after marriage to Kim Kardashian, and misfortunes for the various athletes who dared to Keep Up With The Kardashians.
However, now concerns about the Kardashian Curse have expanded to Kim’s new underwear partnership with the NBA. Keep reading to get all the details.
Kim Kardashian – Sells Skims Underwear To NBA
The NBA has agreed to a partnership with Kim Kardashian‘s SKIMS apparel brand. And the 43-year-old reality TV star made a deal with both the men’s and women’s basketball leagues after unveiling her company’s first underwear line for men, reported Newsweek.
In her announcement on social media, Kim shared pics in which she held a basketball. “Introducing the SKIMS and NBA partnership,” she wrote. “@SKIMS is now the Official Underwear Partner of the @NBA, @WNBA and @Usabasketball.”
And Kardashian shared, “We’re thrilled to partner with the WNBA and to excite fans and female athletes through WNBA marquee events, brand activations, media, and campaigns. We look forward to working together in amplifying our joint values of women empowerment and individual confidence.”
NBA Fans Fear Kardashian Curse!
But while Kim feels thrilled, social media objected. For instance, one critic wrote, “We gotta boycott the NBA now.” And another questioned, “Who allowed this?” But some noted the dreaded Kardashian curse could strike the NBA.
And one amused critic shared, “This is hilarious knowing that they [used] to say there’s a Kardashian curse for athletes. But now they’re wearing her underwear.” However, some pondered why the NBA felt it needed an underwear partner.
But as one wise observer noted, “The good news for the players is they can just wear something else and no one will notice.” However, some thought that Kim deserved praise for her efforts.
And one fan shared, “Say what you want about Kim Kardashian. But she is really about her business like.” And another wanted to check out those SKIMS, admitting, “If the NBA players started playing in just their jerseys and SKIMS underwear, I actually might watch a game or two.”
Last year, Kim sparked a controversy with remarks about work ethics. But one of her supporters shared, “Y’all shouldn’t have gotten upset when she said get your a** up and work. Because she certainly is.” And another noted that fans should “give it to her when it comes to marketing, ’cause girl this is something.”
