Did The British Press Set Up Meghan Markle?

It looks like she might have been in the wrong place at the wrong time or she was just set up to look like she purposely tried to steal the King of England’s thunder on his birthday.

Either way, many royal fans couldn’t help but notice that photos of Meghan Markle going shopping with a friend happened to be released on the same day as King Charles’ 75th birthday this past week.

However, some people think that the Duchess of Sussex might have been set up to look bad. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

The photos of the Duchess of Sussex shopping with a friend were actually taken a few days before King Charles’ birthday.

But for some unknown reason, the paps decided to keep the photos and only release them on the day of  the King of England’s actual birthday.

This made it look like Meghan was trying to steal attention away from the king, even though that wasn’t the case at all. But the British press wants to make it look like everything is always Meghan’s fault.

Some royal critics have even commented with, “When a lady overshadows a king’s 75th birthday just by going out for a casual lunch 5 days earlier, it’s definite proof that the king is NOT popular,” along with, “I love that Meghan is unbothered by all the negative things that been going on. The best revenge is living well. She looks so happy, healthy and loved up.”

Of course, Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter but at this point it’s doubtful that she would.

However, a separate report did say that Prince Harry did send a video to his father of the couple’s two children, Archie and Lilibet, singing happy birthday to their grandfather.

Whether or not Prince Harry actually picked up the phone and called his father that same day, no one really knows.
