Royal Family News: Sarah Ferguson’s Hosting Gig

This Morning’s editor Martin Frizell said that Sarah “has a great understanding of the show and how television works.”

Sarah’s appearance comes on the heels of major changes at This Morning. The former hosts have left in the space of just a few months leaving the show rudderless. Phillip Schofield departed in May and Holly Willoughby left last month.

In the wake of the high-profile departures, various personalities such as Cat Deeley and Rylan Clark have hosted.

The Daily Mail reports that “ITV bosses are likely to offer Cat, 48, the role after she impressed them when she hosted the show for three days last week with Rylan and then Craig Doyle.”

Kate Garraway and Davina McCall were also said to be in the running. Willougby quit the show abruptly due to threats made by a stalker and Schofield left after a “scandal in which he admitted to having an affair with much younger male colleague.”
