Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Believe They Are Being Picked On Too Much

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not liking the reaction to their royal drama. According to a report via Daily Mail, Meghan’s so-called “friends” claim that she and Harry feel “picked on” when it comes to the use of their titles and the restriction on the use of the word “royal.” The source says that Meghan doesn’t appreciate that the presumption that she and Harry would use the words for financial gain.

As of April 1, Meghan and Harry can’t use the word “royal” in any context, including with their brand. On February 21, the couple’s spokesperson released a statement addressing the new rules.

“While The Duke and Duchess are focused on plans to establish a new nonprofit organization, given the specific U.K. government rules surrounding the use of the word ‘royal,’ it has been therefore agreed that their nonprofit organization will not utilize the name ‘Sussex Royal’ or any other iteration of ‘royal,'” the statement said on their website. “For the above reason, the trademark applications that had been filed as protective measures and that reflected the same standard trademarking requests as done for The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have been removed.”

According to a report via Us Weekly, the statement has upset Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the British Royal Family. A source told the outlet that she’s felt “embarrassment” from their latest development. But Daily Mail’s source claims that it’s Meghan and Harry that feel slighted. Rumors are swirling that the Queen wants to put all these rules into place to avoid backlash from other members of the family.

Prince Harry and Meghan are being asked to be “more gracious” about the terms of their departure from the royal family after issuing the statement. Officials are claiming there is no need for “war of words” among family members. There will be a series of awkward public appearances for the couple and the royal family later this month in the U.K. This uncomfortable family gathering will be the couple’s last outing as senior members of the royal family.
