General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine Stabs Michael In The Back?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers –Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) needs a break from his duties as CEO of ELQ. The recent discovery that Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson) is actually his son has taken an emotional toll on them both. Michael has moved Wiley into his home and is serious about being the best father to the toddler that he can possibly be. However, Michael believes a leave of absence is necessary in order to have time to bond.

This would not be a problem, except someone is trying to purchase ELQ shares in a clandestine manner. Someone is attempting a hostile takeover! Someone already bought all of Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) shares in ELQ. Unbeknownst to Michael that someone is Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) doesn’t know who is behind the takeover attempt either, but he has suspicions based on warnings he received from Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). Now, with all that Michael has been through, his attention isn’t where it should be in Ned’s estimation.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ned and Brook Lynn Quartermaine Argue

Back at the Quartermaine Mansion, an argument is underway between Ned and his daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Michael has come over to have a conversation with Ned, but it takes him a while to work up to it. Meanwhile, Ned has completely had it with Brook Lynn’s behavior and her refusal to act as an adult. He demands that she come to work at ELQ. The argument back and forth but it just doesn’t seem that Ned can get through to his willful daughter.

Michael tries to convince Brook Lynn that Ned really just wants what’s best for her and the two segue into a discussion about Wiley and parenting. Brook Lynn leaves and Michael decides to bring up the subject he came over to speak with Ned about.

GH Spoilers – Micheal Corinthos Confesses To Ned Quartermaine

Michael confesses to Ned that he wants to take a leave of absence. In fact, he wants Ned to take the reigns as CEO at ELQ. After all, Ned has had plenty of experience in that position in the past and this is just temporary. Who else could Michael turn to? At first, Ned seems concerned. How long will Michael be gone? Michael assures him that it will be only a month at most. Ned is all smiles. He tells Michael that of course, he’ll be happy to take over the CEO position at ELQ until Michael returns.

Relieved, Michael leaves. Little does he know that Ned is plotting to use present circumstances to permanently take the position from Michael. GH viewers will remember that the future of ELQ is vital to the fortunes of the Quartermaines. It may be then, that Ned’s betrayal is due to his concern over the direction Michael has been taking the company.

Questions every GH viewer will have in mind is whether Michael will discover Ned’s move in time. Will he fight for his position as CEO, or will he make broad life changes to focus on his new responsibilities as Wiley’s father?
