Before Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck dated, much less married, the “Batman” star and Jennifer Lopez had been engaged. However, before the couple could tie the knot, something came up and they both decided to go their separate ways.
Years later, the couple have reunited and Jennifer Lopez is rejoicing in her epic second chance romance. But maybe a little too much for Jennifer Garner’s comfort?
Source Says Parts of Jennifer Lopez’s “Greatest Love Story New Told” Documentary Slapped Jennifer Garner in the Face
Last we heard, the “Elektra” star was supportive and happy of Ben Affleck finding love anew in his old flame Jennifer Lopez. But maybe Lopez is starting to rub the reality in too deep?
“Basically, this album is telling the world that the original Bennifer was meant to be,” the insider shared. “On one track, Ben even utters, ‘I love you, I always have,’ which Jen took as a bit of a slap in the face.”
When Affleck and Lopez broke up in 2004, they both went on to marry and welcome children with different spouses. So with co-parenting going on, it’s possible things could be awkward for a while.
Affleck shares three kids with Garner, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 11, and Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme Muñiz from her marriage to Marc Anthony.
Jennifer Garner Reportedly Banned Jennifer Lopez’s Latest Album From Home For This Reason
Apart from the documentary, Garner reportedly doesn’t want to hear one line from Lopez’s latest album “This Is Me…Now” played in her house due to their steamy lyrics. “Jen thinks the whole thing is just cringe,” they added. “The kids don’t need to hear about Ben ‘climbing on top’ of their stepmom and their ‘bodies aligning.’ It’s embarrassing.”
Lopez has been frequently advertising the good luck of her fortunate reunion with Ben Affleck, even making a whole album and documentary based on that experience.
“We captured me at this moment in time when I was reunited with the love of my life and we decided we were going to be together forever,” Lopez told Apple Music 1‘s Zane Lowe. “The whole message of [This Is Me…Then] is, ‘This love exists. This is a real love.’ Now I think what the message of [This Is Me…Now] is: If you have, like me at times, lost hope, almost given up, don’t. True love does exist, and some things do last forever and that’s real.”
Mind you, Affleck was a reluctant participant in the documentary at best.
