Jamie Lee Curtis Teases “Freaky Friday 2” With A Lindsay Lohan Reunion Pic

Are there any detectives in the house because Jamie Lee Curtis just reshared a photo she took with Lindsay Lohan and I need a bit by bit breakdown of every detail.

What does the smiles mean? Does Curtis wearing glasses mean the movie’s in production or…? Why would she share the same picture twice?

One thing’s clear, we’re well on our way to getting a “Freaky Friday 2” years after the first one dropped.

Jamie Lee Curtis really knows how to celebrate a Friday. She didn’t need to do anything fancy, just a throwback pic of her smiling with her “Freaky Friday” costar Lohan and she’s got her fans’ attention.

The 65-year-old Oscar winner had previously shared this same picture last November, when she wrote about her hopes to get to “switch places again [with Lohan’s character] in the near future.”

Is this proof that those hopes have maybe come true?

Anyway, she captioned the picture with “DUH,” adding, “FFDEUX! @disney @disneystudios.”

The pair starred together in the successful 2003 movie “Freaky Friday,” and since then, though fans have often called for a sequel to the movie, there was little or no action until Curtis made a remarkable discovery just last year.

“As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday,” Curtis told the Times last year. “Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.”

Around that same time, Variety reported that Elyse Hollander had started working on a script for the sequel.

Also appearing in the New York Times retrospective, Lohan added that she’s totally open to reuniting with Curtis for the follow-up to the movie, saying that “we would only make something that people would absolutely adore.”

In March, Lohan shared her excitement to get to work with Curtis once more in an interview with PEOPLE. She also teased that the new film was “in the process,” though she failed to clarify how far along it had gotten or whether the script has been completed.

In the interview, the “Mean Girls” star said she was “just excited to work with Jamie again and see how much further we can take it.”
