General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is On His Way Out — Of Corinthos Coffee And The Mob

General Hospital Spoilers spill Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was furious when Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up at his door late at night to share the news that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was reprising his role as co-owner of Corinthos Coffee.

Adamant that he wouldn’t allow it, Sonny swiftly bounced over to the coffee warehouse to let Jason know where he stood with him. Jason was taken aback by Sonny’s attitude and distrust of him, but he wasn’t about to concede.

Clear that he would be there running the coffee empire as a legitimate operation while being an informant for the FBI, Sonny left Jason alone, warning him that one misstep would result in his death — for real this time. It is possible that the joke is on Sonny if Jason’s position in the coffee business brings surveillance to town that wrecks Sonny’s “other operations.”

General Hospital Spoilers — Territorial Disputes

Jason still owns half of Corinthos Coffee. Despite his best effort — a temper tantrum laced with threats that seemed to only make Jason sad — Sonny knows he can’t really oust Jason from the business or keep him off of Corinthos Coffee property.

Of course, there is one way to take him out of the equation, but it would be permanent and life-changing.

Killing Jason would also immediately make Sonny the number one suspect, and he can’t really afford that kind of attention from Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) right now.

Look for Jason and Sonny to continue having words as they disagree over Jason’s involvement in the legitimate side of Sonny’s business.

Jason isn’t alone in this, despite how confused he seems as he races to catch up with all that has transpired since his alleged death two years ago.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will be by his side — and as far as Sonny is concerned, she’s already chosen whose team she’s on.

He’s not surprised since he suspects she and Jason were really in love when he came back and busted up their marriage of convenience.

Little does Sonny realize that Carly and Jason will band together not to protect themselves, but to protect him.

As Carly and Jason work to figure out what is really going on with Sonny and how he could turn his back on them, it’ll be a fast and furious race for the truth as every move Sonny makes aims to blow up his life.

While Carly isn’t happy with Sonny right now, she doesn’t want any harm to come to the father of her children.

Likewise, Jason still sees Sonny as his best friend and business partner. Both of them will come to suspect something is afoot with Sonny’s medication, but Ava Jerome (Maura West) will become Sonny’s protector as she aims to keep their secret and sew more division.

This could lead to reckless behavior on Sonny’s part. When he aims to extract Jason from the situation, he may actually put a target on his own back for the FBI.
