After the latest round of allegations plaguing Andy Cohen, it’s been rumored that he plans to step back after over a decade on air making friends, enemies and others in between.
But calm down, Cohen’s running from nobody. He’s been here for twenty years, and he’ll be here for much longer. So chillax guys, the drama’s just getting started.
Andy Cohen Refuses To “Quit” Bravo Following the Number of Complaints Filed Against Him And The Network From Former Talent
Cohen and Bravo recently faced disturbing claims from former talent that rocked the internet. According to the talent, Cohen made working on ‘Real Housewives’ toxic and unbearable.
As a result of these claims, a source revealed that the ‘Watch What Happens Live host’ and ‘Real Housewives’ executive producer were negotiating an exit package after two decades on the show.
In Touch quoted the source as saying, “Negotiations for Cohen’s departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars.”
However, a spokesperson has rejected the claim, saying, “There is absolutely no truth to this story — it is obviously made up by a source who is not credible.”
Cohen had previously shared that he wasn’t gearing up to retire from Bravo anytime soon.
“Next year is my 20th year at Bravo,” he told PEOPLE at BravoCon 2023 in November. “Next year is our 15th year of Watch What Happens Live. I’ll stay as long as Bravo wants me, as I once said to a very long running housewife being on TV is a gift, it is not a right.”
He added: “And so, you know, we’re all fortunate to be on TV for however long we are.”
Andy Cohen Allegedly Provided “Favorable Treatments And Edits” To People He Uses Substances With
Rumors Cohen means to quit from Bravo comes seven weeks after former Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney sued the longtime host.
McSweeny accused him engaging in “cocaine use with Housewives and other ‘Bravolebrities’ that he employs” and providing “favorable treatment and edits” to those he uses substances with.
Cohen has of course pushed back, with his attorney claiming that the filing was “littered with false, offensive, and defamatory statements.”
Cohen’s legal team further warned McSweeny and her team of subjecting her to “independent and substantial legal exposure” with their “false” claims.
