General Hospital spoilers and updates for the week of Monday, April 29-Friday, May 3, 2024, tease plots, confiding trust, and realizations.

Coming Up On General Hospital

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) plot, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confides trust, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) makes a realization.

Valentin And Brennan’s Plot

At Pentonville Prison, Valentin is meeting with Brennan in an office in the prison, it appears-first, Valentin updates him on Sonny’s meds and his plot to make Sonny crazy.

Valentin made a deal with the pharmaceutical distributor to make these particular pills about a quarter of the strength they’re supposed to be, which means his bipolar disorder won’t be treated.

Unless Valentin’s plot is to affect many people on the same bipolar meds, someone in the pharmacy Sonny uses has to be in on it too.

Valentin tells Brennan that the lesser strength meds make Sonny erratic and angry, and therefore also easily influenced that good people are bad, so he’ll trust the wrong people.

Brennan adds then they eliminate Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and pin it on Sonny-that way Sonny’s in the slammer with a possible death penalty and Jason’s dead!

Sonny Confides Trust

Elsewhere, Sonny is talking to his son Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Dante can tell that his father is very serious-as Dante also is.

Sonny talks to Dante about the only person in his family right now that he can trust, obviously meaning Dante himself; Sonny’s not even including his two young daughters!

Not that Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) would know anything of interest about Sonny’s business anyway, he keeps that separate!

Sonny keeps himself in a very precarious position, trusting only Dante in the family and Ava Jerome (Maura West) outside of the family.

Is Sonny also including Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) as someone he cannot trust, simply because she doesn’t trust Ava?

Carly’s Realization

Elsewhere, Carly, one person that Sonny once trusted implicitly, is trying to get through to her ex-husband and father of two of her children.

She’s yelling at him out of frustration, telling him he’s not making any sense, it’s like everybody’s out to—and doesn’t finish her sentence.

At that moment she realizes that Sonny’s bipolar disorder is talking, and he’s either off his meds, as Jason also suspected, or they’re being tampered with.

She may well connect the dots to Ava and suspect she’s tampering with his meds, considering she did with their son Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig).

Ava’s tampering with his bipolar meds indirectly contributed to Morgan’s death, since his judgment was impaired!
